New Years Eve

This year Dave's entire family got together for a New Year's Eve party. It was so much fun simply because it was really low key. Tim and Shiloh were in town and we took some fun photos of Eli and Cohen. It is so fun to see them together. Eli looks so big compared to Cohen! We played some fun games and ate tons of food. I told Dave that night that I really felt old because I asked if we could leave right after the ball dropped at midnight! Man am I getting old!

Christmas!!

Christmas time always seems so chaotic with parties, shopping, hyper children and the all around hustle and bustle but we found time as a family to slow down a bit. We decided not to plan too many activities and did most of our shopping online so we wouldn't have to fight crowds and accomplished what we wanted. This year, I am mostly grateful for a beautiful family with my five kids, a roof over our head, good friends and family to share the holidays with and for my Savior Jesus Christ. I will let our photos tell the rest of our story of our Christmas.

Christmas is coming!

Christmas is coming and we don't have a goose that is fat! We had better hurray. We got a relatively late start to the holiday season considering that all of our decorations were in storage. We were hoping that we would be moving before Christmas but that hasn't quite worked out yet. So we had to search for our decorations. We had a great Family Home Evening where we went and picked out a tree and we had a fun night decorating and drinking hot chocolate. It is so much fun to see all of the tree ornaments each year and to add to them. Eli got his first ornament which is a Rudolph ornament. This will add to our Elvis, Black Santa, Denver Broncos, Tinkerbell, and several fun Nutcracker ornaments. We are ecclectic to say the least. We can't decide on a theme so we make it up as we go along. This is such a great time of year and my kids are really looking forward to seeing the lights on Temple Square and seeing David Archuleta perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. We also went to the Festival of Trees where we were able to see Cam and Amy's tree that Stoel Reves donated. It was so beautiful and was a crowd pleaser. Bring on the season!

Eli's First Thanksgiving!

So our lives have obviously been crazy what with our newest addition. We have been having a blast! We decided to have our own little Thanksgiving Dinner and had some great friends over for dessert and games. We had so much pie that I think I gained all the baby weight back!  Let's just say that it was a fun day! Eli is growing like a weed and couldn't be sweeter. The kids are overly-helpful but it is fun to see that they love him! I count my blessings every day for my family. A great husband, awesome kids and family and friends who love me. Now if we could sell our home and get a bigger place, we will be good to go!

Baby Eli!

He's here everyone! Finally on Monday November 8th 2010 at 3:18pm our little Eli came into this world! I was so ready for him to arrive. The day couldn't have gone smoother. We walked into the IMC hospital at 7:15am to be induced and I arrived to find my personal nurse for the day already setting my room up. Our friend Susan Lake came in on her day off to help with the delivery. She was awesome! She introduced me to lime ice which I was so excited about considering I was so thirsty. I had Pitossin administered at 8:30am, my water was broken at 11:45 and Eli came at 3:18pm. He is the cutest little guy. He hardly cries, has lots of hair and looks like a Gooch. Go figure! I am so grateful that everything went well. He weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz. and 21 inches long. Needless to say, we have big babies! I was so elated that I didn't even care and have been recovering nicely! We are now a table for 7!

Halloween!

So I know that it's been a while since I've posted but I'm back and ready to show off the kiddos again! We had a really low key Halloween this year which was perfect for me! We had the usual school parade and school parties. I asked Dave go around with the girls this year because let's face it, I'm huge and would have not enjoyed the Trick or Treating walk. Anna decided to be Cinderella this year, Sara was a punk-rock girl, Brinton was the old man from UP and Braeden went as a princess for his girl-boy party!!! EEEEK! We have a son who is hanging out with girls! We are in trouble! But the kids all had a great weekend and have so much candy we don't know what to do! Also, according to Dave, the bottom picture is what Braeden would look like as a little girl which is just like me apparantly!!! So cute!
